This rare example of a peach-shaped water dropper has a branch and leaf functioning as a handle.
Two folding peach leaves on the opposite side of the handle serve as the spout and a hole on the base of the vessel serves as an entrance.
The fluted, backside of the body as well as the carefully incised veins of the leaves give a realistic effect and captures the essence of the peach.
A high quality celadon glaze with bluish-green lustour is applied evenly on the entire surface and tiny air bubbles are trapped underneath.
The glaze has collected somewhat thickly on part of the flattened base where three large silica spur-marks remain visible.
