With a 16mm camera he bought on impulse, Meng is a well-known photographer who begins filming a documentary based on political and religious statues around Taiwan. Meng meets Ning, a young woman who falls in love with his photos and soon falls in love with him. But her own ambition and desires eventually lead her away, while Meng remains faithful to his work...
