About Swamp of Phoenix
In a tiny island village that has been isolated from civilization, a shaman's daughter Bong-Eun cannot marry on the ground of that she is possessed by the spirit of mountain. One day, a painter Seo Jong-Hun comes to the villa in this island and happens to meet Bong-Eun. Bong-Eun becomes his model. The rumor that she has become the nude model is spread over the village and when enraged Dong-Cheol beats Jong-Hun, Bong-Eun rushes out of the room feeling danger. Dong-Cheon runs after her, but unexpectedly he tumbles down a precipice and dies. A few days later, when a religious service for the god of a mountain is held, the village peoble regards Jong-Hun the evil fortune and throw him the bones. In the course of stopping them, Bong-Eun gets crazy and sets fire on her house and the ancestral shrine. Bong-Eun dies sitting in the burning fire.
