About Eok-Soe
A distinguished family's eldest son Kim Jinsa has no son who is supposed to carry on a family line. He inquires around and locates a remote relative's son Eok-Soe who cannot speak. He brings Eok-Soe to his house and has him marry a housemaid Sam-Ok to give birth to a son. After then, Eok-Soe is taken to Kim Chosi, Kim Jinsa's younger brother. Kim Chosi too buy a girl from a poor house and have her marry Eok-Soe in order to get a son from them like his brother. Meanwhile, Sam-Ok suffers from the more severe mal-treatment than before and just misses Eok-Soe. Eok-Soe misses her as well and after many twists and turns, they meet again with each other. But, she is already serious ill and dies in his arms.
