About North Korea's Southern Army
Lee Tae, a war correspondent, joined in the partisan in 1950 and is troubled by the partisan he thought before and his passive behavior. As operation Chung Ryong is failed and they are chased by the punitive force. Lee Tae is injured during this occasion and falls in love with Park Min-Ja who takes care of him. But they sadly separate from each other according to the order from headquarter. Lee Tae speaks out emptiness of war between same nations to a poet Kim Young who he meets in a unit. While time elapses with continuous battles and the news of truce is heard, the atmosphere of members becomes tumultuous and Nam Bu Kun is cornered due to cold weather and starvation. At last the combat or the last-ditch fight takes place. Lee Tae dropped behind and was straying around in the snow when he is enslaved by the punitive force. His long partisan struggle has at last come to an end.
