About Woman's Pains, A
Sang-Hee, a bar's manageress, lives her life together with her daughter named Ji-Suk, younger sister named Yun-Hee, and father's sister. She makes effort to let her younger sister become a medical doctor, while her younger sister is reluctant to study by the money that she has earned at a bar. When she is going to get married again to Kim Dong-Min, or her predecessor, her husband is released from prison and threatens her and her younger sister. For the sake of her younger sister, she hurts her husband with knife and is put in jail on the charge of failed murder. Her young sister gets married to Dong-Min without disclosing all of the facts, and keeps a private hospital and does not take care of her elder sister's daughter (Ji-Suk) and father's sister. After her father's sister dies, younger sister, or Yun-Hee is forced to take care of Ji-Suk but maltreats her owing to Dong-Min's suspicion. After being released, she (Sang-Hee) becomes aware of such a fact, and tells her younger sister the story in the past, and brings her daughter with tears.
