About Seagull's Dream, A
As his emigration to USA is confirmed by his fiancee Nan-Hee's mediation, Dr. Cho Jun goes to Mo Rae island in front of Cheju Island to dispose his old house inherited from his ancestors. Deeply disappointed by Nan-Hee, he comes to this isolated island where he ccame to know a fishergirl or Bibari who is left out by the villagers because she killed her own brother. On the day of worship to celebrate finishing construction of breakwater that is their long wished work, a sudden storm destroys the breakwater. As the villagers lays the blame on Bibari about the storm, she commits suicide. Now Jun makes up his mind to distribute the benefits of civilization to these conservative villagers.
