Every woman, whether they are married or single, in their 20's, 30's or 40's fantasizes about the coming across a once in lifetime love so beautiful and heartfelt, before it is too late. "Thank You, My Life" is about a woman is diagnosed with cancer, overcoming her illness amidst true love and care of her husband and ex-lover. A successful professional woman, Yeon-kyung grew up in a poor family and had to earn her college tuition fees on her own. She is also a good mother to her two children and a good wife to her always-busy husband, a photojournalist. One day she runs into her first love, In-seok, at a hospital that she visits for a medical checkup. Her passionate feelings toward In-seok rush back to her, but she also finds out that she has cancer. She faces a tough decision of whether to stay with her husband or choose In-seok, while also battling cancer. The complexities relationships between husband, wife and a doctor bring out betrayal, pure love and confusion. This drama also takes a retrospective look at the meaning of life by touching engaging the problems of marriage, love and death.
