About Ardor
A woman despairs after discovering her husband had an affair. Guilt-ridden, the husband moves them to the countryside to console her. There she meets an attractive yet pessimistic doctor and finds herself drawn to him. Ardor may seem merely a hackneyed story of adultery, but it’s a poetic portrayal of a woman stuck in traditional wedlock who is rejuvenated by a love she thought never existed.
