About Special Investigation Bureau Bae Tae Ok Case
Bae Tae-Ok, who once conducted Independence Movement in Beijing, is brainwashed by her husband Hwang Ryong who is an ardent adherent of communism after liberation. Hwang Ryong is arrested with Bae Tae-Ok by pursuit of information agency when he secretly conducts his missions as a general director in Seoul under Commander Lee Hyeok-Ki. Although Bae Tae-Ok is skeptical about communism, she is appointed to the chief of women league as Korean War takes place. After 9.28 reclamation of territory, Bae Tae-Ok is captured by the investigation bureau. At first she is examined and sentenced to death, but in the end she is set free after spending 20 years in prison due to reduction of penalty. But then she is already in her fifties.
