About Gate
Pal Kyo Sun comes to Korea to investigate his father's mysterious death. Hie father was a master of 'Jaeng', a Japanese traditional musical instrument. But Pal Kyo Sun majored in engineering to find his own way. He goes to Mt Han-Ra where his father's body was found. There, he meets Wu-Dan, a master of 'Kayakeum', a Korean traditional musical instrument, and Wu-Dan's daughter Ka-Sil. Pal Kyo Sun becomes to know that his father committed suicide after listing to Wu-Dan's performance and realizing that his craftsmanship could never reach to that of Wu-Dan who tells 'sound should not come from the musical instrument but from the soul of the player'.
