About Ruined Reeds
Lee Keun-Hwa, born in Seoncheon, Pyeongbuk, marries a black general in spite of parents' opposition during the retreat on Jan. 4, 1951. She lives in Hawaii and gives birth to Antony and Juri. Antony grows up in contempt that he is mixed-blood and in misunderstanding that his parents' relationship is not a right one, and consequently becomes the boss of a gang. When her husband died, Lee Keun-Hwa devotes herself on public service in church and becomes deeply religious. In order to save Antony from the evil world, Lee Keun-Hwa and Minister Kim do their best at the risk of safety. Mother's such a sacrifice and moving prayer reforms Antony and make him reborn as the one who could devote himself for the sake of the other people.
