About 38th Parallel, The
A large landowner of the North Korea Tae-Ho, after forfeited his property, tries to come down to the South Korea with his family. But, around the 38th Parallel, all his family members are killed except him. Tae-Ho enters the military of Republic of Korea. By the way, Sohn-Jeon who once played the main role in driving Tae-Ho's family as anti-reactionary elements in the North, comes to feel disillusion at the communist's deceitful policy and surrenders himself to the Korean military. By the time when the military begins to advance toward the North, Sohn-Jeon participates in it with Tae-Ho. When he dies in battle, Tae-Ho prays for the repose of his soul.
