About Keum Dal-Rae
Man-Seok is selected as the priest worshiping the Cheonwang god in Mutae village, Chilkok, Kyeongsang-do. He goes to the town in order to select the master of religious rites, and there, he falls in impossible love with Keum Dal-Rae, a lady of a respectful family. The master of religious rites drives her out of the town by conducting evil plot. At first, she begins to sell daily necessities but when the men's temptations get worse, she becomes a beggar in order to avoid it. Man-Seok sets out look for Keum Dal-Rae, but gets flogged by the boss of beggars who had relations with her in past. Regarding it as the calamity of Cheonwang god, he sets fire on the sanctuary of Cheonwang god and burnt to death. Keum Dal-Rae restlessly wanders over the country.
