About I'm Ready to Devote Myself
Lee Hong-Keun loses his one side arm and leg in the battle field during the Korean War to be in the Military Hospital, and recovers his health thanks to the nun Song's sacrificial care. He feels angry against the society's cool treatment toward him when he takes a walk together with the nun Song at the streets in Taegu city. Being given help from a Catholic priest, he establishes a self-supporting unit named "Rehabilitation Team (Kaeng saeng won)" to prepare for his fellows' living bases and let them get married. He opens a radio shop thanks to a priest's help, and attempts to commit suicide when the shop is completely burnt owing to fire accident to let him feel so much disappointed. However, he is much impressed by the nun Song's religious belief and is introduced to a girl who may become his bride. After getting married, he devotes himself to the manufacture of motor and finally manages a big enterprise called "Daeseong Industries Co." which is a leading manufacturer of motor and owns as much as some billion won of the assets.
