About Byeong-Tae and Young-Ja
Byeong-Tae, who has been rejected by Young-Ja, enters the military. Two months before finishing military service, Young-Ja visits Byeong-Tae in the military unit unexpectedly. Young-Ja sends Byeong-Tae a letter saying that she will never forget him and will get married to Ju Hyeok, or a doctor, shortly. After graduating college, Young-Ja gets a job at the bank, while Byeong-Tae resumes his study at the college. Both Ju-Hyeok and Byeong-Tae make a betting. The winner will be the one who arrives earlier at the engagement ceremony place between Ju-Hyeok and Young-Ja. Byeong-Tae, who runs on bare foot to be soaked with sweat, arrives earlier than Ju-Hyeok who has driven car. Byeong-Tae becomes at a loss. Byeong-Tae brings Young-Ja and leaves the engagement ceremony place.
