About Solid Guy, A
The innocent farmhand Cha-Dol witnesses a traffic accident and finds cash and gold bar in a car, which Japanese abandoned, when the Japanese soldiers withdraw from Korea after the Korean independence. He comes to Seoul deserting the lover Sun-Nyeo in order to succeed in life. He buys a house, where Japanese lived, and loves a Japanese woman and gives her a Korean name, Ok-Nyeo. Meanwhile he meets Yong-Su, the son of his previous owner. Yong-Su is interested in the fortune of Cha-Dol, but his plan fails owing to the wisdom of Ok-Nyeo. Sun-Nyeo comes to Cha-Dol with her baby, and Ok-Nyeo goes back to Japan. Cha-Dol loses Sun-Nyeo and the fortune because of a fire. He meets Ok-Nyeo in a beach again, and they head for the hometown.
