About During Mother's Lifetime
Mrs. Hwang is an odd jobber. She is worried about her son Dong-Su's indulgence. While her daughter Dong-Suk makes acquaintance with her brother's friend Sung-Min. She quits school and gets a job when she finds her mother is a vegetable vendor. Dong-Suk, married to Sung-Min, is suffering a bitter insult from her mother-in-law because she gives her jewels to Dong-Su who asks for money. Mrs. Hwang takes responsibility for that and goes to her husband's grave. Through the trouble with Dong-Su, she understands the whole story. In the end Dong-Su repents his faults and goes back to his mother to live together in country.
