About Seacoast Village, A
Hae-Sun, a girl at the seacoast, loses her husband after getting married. Sang-Su, a vagabond, loves her. Knowing such a fact, her younger brother-in-law, who loves her one-sidedly, is disappointed to lose interest in working. She declines Sang-Su's proposal that both leave the village, but when her mother-in-law knows their love relation, they are forced to leave the village. Both visit markets here and there and meet Kim, who is his friend and wild ginseng-digger. He follows his friend's advice and goes to the mountains to get precious wild ginseng. He is deprived of his wild ginseng by Kim's plot, while she is tired from vagabond life and is anxious to return to home town. In the meantime, he falls down from a cliff with keeping wild ginseng at his hand due to his mistake while looking for wild ginseng at the mountains, and finally dies. She feels disappointed in everything and returns to home town.
