Sang-Wuk who's from country is a junior college student. He falls in love with Jeong-Hee, a kisaeng and he promises her to marry. After that he borrows some money on his family's deed. But on his way to Seoul, he is stolen the money. What's worse the pro-Japanese who gazes at Jeong-Hee takes her from Sang-Wuk. As soon as the country is liberated, he escapes prison to revenge on the pro-Japanese. When he goes back home, he is already a poor old man. He does not dare to go to his friend but just cries.
