About Echo of Love and Death Part 1
Kang-Ok is a law student of Seoul National University. As he can't get in touch with his family in North Korea, he donates blood to get living expenses. During this period he makes an acquaintance with a nurse Jin-Young. As his life goes in difficulty, he is deceived to join left wing by Ki-Yong, a manager of tenant farms, who is arrested some time later. While Kang-Ok and Jin-Young marry, Kang-Wuk's friend Do-Hyeon tries to conceal his affection toward Jin-Young. Their sweet newly-married life is ended as Korean War breaks out. Jin-Young is worn out waiting for Kang-Wuk and finally takes a refuge with Do-Hyeon while Kang-Wuk is arrested by Ki-Yong who is released from prison and other left wingers at Yun-Ae's house where he hides himself.
