About Maternal Affection
In 1920, a female teacher of a summary school marries the son of the principal. The son is just released from prison because of the 1919 Independence Movement. But on their first wedding night, the Japanese policemen take him again no news from him. In order to kill time, she teaches a servant Chil-Bok. Simple-minded Chil-Bok gradually feels love for her, but is make her feel sorry as she can't accept his love. Finally, Chil-Bok kills himself so as to lighten his anguish.
