About When a Woman Breaks Her Jewel Box
A college student Bo-Young lives with her father Young-Shik and her aunt Ye-Seon. Ye-Seon is the sister of Bo-Young's mother who is thought to have died during Korean War. One day Hyung-Shik and Ye-Seon have an car accident and get hospitalized. A man who tries to kill Young-Shik mistakenly fires at Hyo-Seob, a Bo-Young's fiance. Bo-Young happens to know that a director of some mother-child care center is her mother Kyeong-Seon, who began to take care of orphan children after she got raped by an American soldier. Bo-Young wants her mother to live with the father again, so Ye-Seon leaves, giving up her love for Young-Shik.
