About Bet on My Disco
In the dark days of the early 1980s, three high school students - Hae-juk, Sung-ki, and Bong-pal are spending their youth quarreling. One day, Hae-juk happens to pass by a local beauty, Bong-ja and falls in love at first sight. A few days later, Hae-juk finds out Bong-ja in Bong-pal's family photo hanging behind Bong-pal's father in his sick bed. Incredible, Bong-ja is a sister to the stupid Bong-pal! While Hae-juk feels his love is coming right into his life, he learns Bong-ja has started working at a local saloon to earn money for her family. The trio led by the courageous Hae-juk, invade the saloon, but Bong-ja has already been passed over to a disco club, "The Emperor". The trio can manage the bouncers of the local saloon, but they are no match for the real gangsters in "The Emperor". Finally the boss of the disco club makes an unexpected proposal to the brave Hae-juk. If he can win the disco contest, Bong-ja will be released. But only a week remains, and Hae-juk doesn't know the first thing about dancing.
